For parents who'd rather do this on purpose

Your kids need you sturdy. Not perfect.

Most parenting runs on defaults — the moves you inherited, the schedule that just happened, whatever ends the day. Sturdy is a private coach that knows your kids, shows you your defaults, and helps you replace the ones working against you. Built by a parent who needed it too.

How it works

A coach that actually knows your family.

Not articles. Not a chatbot with amnesia. Sturdy builds a private file on your kids and your situation, then coaches you against it — every day, in the moments that count.

01

The Interview

Ten minutes of questions nobody's ever asked you. Your kids' temperaments, your family's rhythm, the patterns you can't see from inside. It listens like a coach, not a form.

02

Your Plan

Before you pay a dollar: a synthesis of what it heard, the season each kid is in, and the 90-day forecast. Email it to yourself and keep it, subscribe or not.

03

Daily corner-man

Texts that know your week. A nudge before the hard hour. A place to vent at 9:40pm that texts back something useful. Paste the message that set you off, get back the calm reply.

04

The Sunday brief

Once a week: what shifted with each kid, what's coming, one honest challenge to how you showed up, and one play to run. Ten minutes that change the week.

Parenting on purpose

Most parenting runs on defaults.

The moves you inherited from your own parents. The schedule that just happened. Whatever gets everyone to bedtime. Nobody chose these — they run on their own, and most of them are fine. Sturdy exists for the two or three that aren't.

the-cave

The cave

You hold the line all day, then guilt speaks first and you fold at 8:40pm. The kid learns the line moves.

the-lecture

The lecture

Correction arrives as a speech. The silence looks like learning; it's a kid waiting for you to finish.

the-clock

The clock

Every transition becomes a countdown fight, because the schedule is the parent and you're its enforcer.

Yours are different — that's the point. The interview finds them and names them in your own words. The coaching helps you replace them with moves you chose. That's the whole product: parenting on purpose.

The 9:41pm test

Built for the hour your defaults take over.

Tuesday · 9:41 pm
I lost it over homework tonight. Yelled, she cried, door slammed. I've been sitting here feeling like a terrible parent.
You're not. You're a tired one, and this is recoverable tonight. Go sit near her, no speech: "I got too loud. That's on me. The homework can wait until morning." Then stay a minute. The repair teaches her more than the blowup cost.
Did it. She showed me her drawing.
That's the whole game. Log this one: the repair, not just the blowup. Sunday we'll look at what keeps lighting that fuse at 8pm.

The sturdiest parent wins. Not the loudest, not the softest — the sturdiest.

Kids anchor to the parent who doesn't wobble. Sturdy's whole job is keeping you that parent — through the standoffs, the shutdowns, the hard seasons, and the long game of the next seven summers.

Before you start

The questions parents actually ask.

Is this therapy?

No. Sturdy is coaching — practical moves for the hours that go wrong, not treatment for a diagnosis. If a conversation touches crisis, the coach stops coaching and points you at real people: 988, local services, or your own clinician. If you already work with a therapist or a specialist, Sturdy defers to their protocol and will not contradict it.

Can my co-parent see any of this?

No. Your file is never shared with a co-parent, a school, or a lawyer, and there is no shared view for anyone to request. The coach also never coaches against them — it de-escalates, because your kids live in both houses. The one sharing switch is yours: you can send your Sunday brief to a partner in your own household, and stop anytime.

What happens to my data?

It is encrypted at rest, never used to train anyone's model, and deleted the moment you ask. One button in settings erases your file, your messages, and your briefs from live systems immediately; encrypted backups age out within seven days. The privacy policy spells out the rest.

Is it a person or an AI?

An AI, coaching against a file built from your own answers. Every reply is generated — nobody is reading your texts in real time. During the beta the founder may review a sampled or flagged conversation to keep the coaching honest, and you can switch that off in settings.

What if I stop?

Cancel in settings and future charges stop; your access runs to the end of the period you already paid for. There is a 30-day money-back guarantee on your first month — email trust@sturdy.family. Opting out of texts does not cancel anything, and the web app keeps working.

What does it cost?

$49 a month, cancel anytime. The interview and the plan it produces are free, so you see what Sturdy knows about your family before you pay a dollar. Founding members keep the $49 price for as long as they stay subscribed.
